KRCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria

KRCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Selection Process
The selection for the KRCL Apprentice training will be based on merit. No written test or interview will be conducted.
Merit List Preparation: A merit list will be prepared based on the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination (sum of all years/semesters). No rounding off will be done.
Preference Categories:
- First Preference: Land Loser candidates (whose land was acquired for the Konkan Railway Project).
- Second Preference: Candidates belonging to the districts of KRCL jurisdiction (Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg in Maharashtra; North Goa & South Goa in Goa; Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada in Karnataka).
Call for Document Verification: Candidates will be called for document verification in order of merit, up to 3 times the number of seats in the first round. Further rounds will be conducted as per requirement.
Tie-Breaker Rule: If two candidates have the same marks, the candidate with the older age will be selected. If dates of birth are also the same, the candidate who passed the matriculation exam earlier will be selected.
