The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), Delhi, on behalf of the Standardisation Testing & Quality Certification Directorate (STQC), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has released the official notification for recruitment of Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade) posts. A total of 04 vacancies are available for the Southern and Western regions under the NIELIT Delhi Driver Recruitment 2026. Educational Qualification & Experience

Essential:

1. Pass in 10th Standard from a recognized board.
2. Possession of a valid Driving License for Motor Car.
3. Experience of driving motor car for at least three years.

Desirable: Three years service as Home Guard or Civil Volunteers.

Age Limit

Age Range: 18 to 25 years as on 26th February 2026.

Age Relaxation:

• Ex-servicemen: As per Government rules.
• Central Government employees: Up to 40 years with 3 years regular service.

NIELIT Delhi Driver Selection Process 2026

The selection will be based on the following stages:

Written Examination (Objective Type):

• 120 questions, 120 marks, 2 hours duration.
• Subjects: General Awareness, General Intelligence & Elementary Maths, General English/Hindi, Traffic Rules & Driving Techniques.
• No negative marking.
• Qualifying marks: 25% for General/EWS.

Skill Test (Qualifying):

• Driving skill assessment, knowledge of motor mechanics, traffic rules, and minor defect identification.
• Conducted only at Delhi.

Final Merit: Based on marks secured in the Written Examination only.
